Who Are We?
We are the Stokes! Dana & Matt, respectively. Or Mom & Dad. Or MomMom & Poppy. Or CT Technologist & Electrician. Or Texas Wench & Crabbie Ol' Man. Guess it depends on who you ask and what hat we're wearing at the time.
We have been married since 1994. (You can read about the beginning here.) We have 4 kids, and 6 grandkids. When our youngest child graduated from highschool and headed off to college, the hubs and I packed up and hit the road. There are lots of posts on my Blog page about the trials and tribulations of downsizing from a full house of 21 years to a 38' RV. It has been quite a challenge!

You don't realize just how much crap you've accumulated in your life until you move. You don't realize just how much of that crap is TRULY UNNECESSARY until you start trying to make it fit into a little ol' Rollie House! We have a few pieces of furniture, artwork, etc. that we didn't want to part with, but other than that we've been determined not to have a huge storage building full of crap! (Notice I keep using that word....CRAP? That's what all that material stuff you keep hanging on to amounts to. CRAP!)

So, we have purged our lives and closets and lightened the load. We've also finally bought a couple of grown up "toys" we've always wanted and could make mobile, including a portable hot tub and a Honda Goldwing trike. We have a Rollie Garage to house those and bring them along. Check back often for updates about our working, traveling, riding, letterboxing adventures!

Where Are We?
So where are we now?
We'll be updating this section every time we land somewhere new, so be sure and check back often!
If you are a fellow RV'er, we are also members of RVillage.com and Escapees.com. You can always track us there, too.
What Do We Do?
I am a Radiologic Technologist - which is a college edumicated way of saying I shoot X-Rays. I also have sub-certifications in Mammography, Bone Densitometry and Computed Tomography (CT). I work for a company that provides staffing where it's needed. So one month I may be needed in California doing CT, and the next month I may be needed in Wisconsin shooting X-Rays. Or any combination and location therein. I also teach CPR, so if we are in your area and you want to learn, give me a shout!

Matt is a Journeyman Electrician. He does Commercial, Residential and Solar work. He is also a skilled carpenter. He does private jobs along the way, working under our LLC, The Lazy Ass Farm. (Remember that movie The Toy with Richard Pryor and Jackie Gleason? Yep....that's where I got the idea! LOL)

The Fur Babies work very hard at eating, napping, barking, cuddling and just being downright demanding.
